Join us for the Wisconsin Veterans Museum's quarterly dinner lecture event. Every Mess Night at the Museum will feature a new speaker, topic, dinner, drinks (alcoholic drinks available at a cash bar), and time to socialize before and after the talk. Registration is required. Join us as we transform this historic naval tradition into our own.

MESS NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: THE GREAT WAR AND AMERICAN LITERATURE

Join Marguerite Helmers, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Professor Emerita, will describe some of the famous and lesser known works of literary fiction to emerge from the First World War. Focusing primarily on American authors such as Willa Cather, Edith Wharton, and John Dos Passos, this presentation will survey works written during and immediately after the war.

Fee (Includes dinner): $22 (Members) $30 (Non-Members)

Advance registration is required with payment due at the time of registration. Cancellations for refunds must be requested no later than two weeks prior to the event. Please note any dietary restrictions in the comment box during registration.
